Restoring balance between feeling and thinking

Does life sometimes feel as though it has lost its sparkle? As if you’re going through the motions, yet missing a true sense of aliveness? Perhaps you’ve already tried many ways to break through that feeling of emptiness, and still sense that something deeper is possible.

Imagine being fully present in your own life again. Making decisions guided by your inner compass, with clarity and confidence. In my practice in Heemstede, I support women who long for greater depth, connection and balance in their personal growth.


Your body as a gateway to change

Our bodies carry memories, even when we believe we have left them behind. Through Somatic Experiencing®, EMDR, breathwork and conscious slowing down, we gently explore together what your body is holding and longing to express.

You will learn to release tension, give space to emotions, and restore the natural harmony between feeling and thinking.

In my sessions, everything is welcome: joy as well as pain, strength as well as vulnerability. We work not only through conversation, but primarily with what you experience and feel in the present moment. In this way, movement and change can emerge in places where you may have felt stuck for a long time.

About Sandra

For many years, I lived mainly from my head: driven, focused and always on the go. From the outside, everything seemed fine, yet inwardly I felt an increasing sense of emptiness. Through Chi Kung, bodywork and Somatic Experiencing®, I discovered that my body had long known what I truly needed: slowing down, presence and genuine connection.

That discovery changed everything. I learned to listen to subtle signals, allow emotions to be felt and follow my own natural rhythm. Gradually, this created more space, calm and a deeper sense of meaning in my life.

Since 2014, I have been supporting people who long for greater inner freedom, connection and vitality. In my sessions, I work with approaches including Somatic Experiencing® and NARM™ to help release tension and restore the body’s natural resilience.

What I love most about this work is witnessing the moment someone reconnects with themselves and feels: “Yes, this is who I am.” Every step, no matter how small, brings you closer to your authentic self: the place where life can begin to flow freely again.

Online therapy

People who have experienced sessions via video call often describe them as supportive and meaningful, with plenty of space for exploration and new experiences. For some, it even feels more comfortable to take part in sessions from the familiarity and safety of their own environment.


For online sessions, I use Jitsi Meet, a platform that fully complies with privacy regulations.

Qualifications and registrations

  • NARM™ training at Bodymind Opleidingen — a two-year international training programme focused on developmental trauma.

  • Somatic Experiencing® training at Bodymind Opleidingen — a three-year international programme in trauma healing.

  • Integrated Psychotherapy at Bodymind Opleidingen — a four-year professional training in body-oriented psychotherapy, comparable to higher professional education (HBO level).

  • EMDR training with Floor Slager

  • Psychosocial Foundation Training (PSBK) in accordance with Plato standards at Bodymind Opleidingen — a one-year programme covering medical foundation knowledge, psychology and psychopathology.

Specialisations and Expertises

Body-oriented therapy

In body-oriented psychotherapy, you learn to listen to the language of your body. Everything you have experienced lives not only in your mind, but also within your body. By slowing down, becoming aware of your sensations and breathing consciously, space begins to open for relaxation and healing. Step by step, you reconnect with yourself and with your natural resilience.



Stress management

Ongoing stress is often not just a mental struggle, but a physical pattern held within the body. Together, we explore where tension builds up in your system and what it needs in order to soften and release.

By gently moving between states of activation and relaxation, your nervous system gradually regains access to the resilience that exists within every person.


Trauma healing

Overwhelming experiences can leave lasting imprints on the nervous system. The body may remain stuck in an old survival response long after the event has passed. Through gentle attention, breath and small, careful steps, your system learns that it is safe to relax again and complete what once became frozen or interrupted.

In this way, the body can finally release the tension it has been carrying for so long.


Number of sessions

Every person is unique. That is why I work with the principle: as short as possible, and as long as needed. We regularly reflect on the process, your intentions and how you experience our work together, so that the sessions always remain aligned with your personal growth and development.

Most common issues I support people with:

  • Feeling disconnected from yourself

  • Learning to navigate and work with emotions

  • Ongoing tension and stress-related symptoms

  • Low mood or feelings of sadness

  • Inner unrest caused by traumatic experiences

Fees

Sessions last 60 to 75 minutes.
  • Rate for private clients: €115 per session (VAT exempt)
  • Rate or business coaching: There is a special rate for business coaching. Please feel free to contact me for further information.


Many health insurance providers offer partial reimbursement through supplementary healthcare packages. Sessions are generally covered under complementary or alternative healthcare services. Or in Dutch: 'alternatieve geneeswijzen'.
