A bit of background: I originally read Modern Languages at Oxford University and then worked in International Marketing and Advertising in London. Since retraining as a counsellor in 1998, I have gathered over 25 years of experience working with a large range of issues and clients. Due to living in various countries as a child and young person ("Third Culture Kid") I speak German, Dutch and Hebrew as well as English.
I have worked in many different counselling settings including seven years in GP practice, workplace counselling and addictions counselling. This was all in Scotland, which was my home for 30 years.
I was originally trained in the person centred approach (PCT) but work integratively; using a variety of therapeutic models and techniques, always tailored to the needs and wishes of each individual client.
I have a particular interest in working with clients who are Neurodivergent (ADHD, Autism, Tourette's and many more), whether diagnosed, self diagnosed or undiagnosed. Of course I'm happy to work with all types of clients and issues!
