Do you suffer from stress, anxiety, trauma, or the feeling that you are stuck? I am happy to help you change this. Besides talking therapy, I work with EMDR therapy, hypnotherapy, craniosacral therapy and the Buteyko method. We discuss what is appropriate for you to ensure that you get a grip on your situation again, feel emotionally balanced and create for yourself a new, optimistic perspective.

After my clinical psychology studies i searched for an integration of psychology and spirituality, as I felt that the usual methods of psychotherapy often are treating symptoms instead of the sources of their arising. Nowadays I use a combination of mindfulness/presence and body-centered awareness as my main method of therapy/healing. With this method many symptoms or 'complaints' can be healed and it offers also a different and much more loving way of being with our self and our shadowsides.

We all run into problems every day. Some are easier to resolve or deal with than others, but no matter where an experience is on the continuum from mildly problematic to traumatic, there is a way back to regulation if we understand how the nervous system works. As we learn to become friends with our nervous system and anchor ourselves in a safe state of the autonomic nervous system, the inevitable challenges in our daily lives are no longer nearly as terrifying. We discover we can recover even from traumatic events.

Hi! If you're an expat/international, and are struggling with your mental health, then you're welcome at my practice in Leiden!
