Garance | Psychologist NIP – ACT Therapist – Couples Therapist (IBCT) – Family Mediator/Lawyer, Systemic Therapist in training

Introduction

Psychologist NIP Landgraaf | Stress, anxiety & burnout support without waiting list: Psychologist NIP, ACT- and Mindfulness Therapist, Couples Therapist (IBCT), Family Mediator & Systemic Therapist in training – offers individual sessions focused on resilience, mental flexibility and living according to your personal values. Improve balance, reduce stress and regain energy in max. 10 sessions.

Need immediate support?

Do you often feel rushed, exhausted or stuck in recurring thoughts and emotions? Do you notice that stress dominates your daily life, that you struggle to make decisions or that feelings of self consciousness, guilt or frustration drain your energy? Are you facing long waiting lists in mental health care and need immediate support?

In my private practice in Landgraaf, I offer individual sessions or training programs based on Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)without waiting lists.

ACT is an evidence-based, third-generation cognitive behavioral therapy that helps you build resilience, break unhelpful patterns and live in line with what truly matters and is valuable to you. In a maximum of 10 sessions, we work together to develop greater psychological flexibility, so you can better handle stress, anxiety, uncertainty, or an overactive mind.

ACT does not focus on DSM diagnoses and is suitable for anyone, regardless of the nature or severity of their issues. The goal is to change the way you relate to your thoughts and emotions: rather than fighting or avoiding them, you learn to actively accept them and still take meaningful steps toward a life that suits you. No referral from your GP is required for ACT.

As a systemic therapist in training (from January 2026) and a lawyer-family mediator, I also bring expertise in family systems, relationships, and practical mediation matters. This combination makes my approach unique: your personal development is central, while we also take into account the context of your relationships and family dynamics.

What to expect:

  • Personal sessions fully tailored to your needs

  • Practical tools to cope with stress, moodswings or inner conflicts

  • Strengthening of resilience and psychological flexibility

  • Conscious choices aligned with your personal values

For whom:

  • Adults who want to reduce stress, anxiety, or inner conflict and regain control over their lives

  • Individuals who wish to make more conscious choices and live according to their personal values

  • Clients who want to build resilience and mental flexibility to better cope with challenges and change

Results:
After completing the sessions, clients are better able to manage their emotions and thoughts, make choices that truly suit them and experience more calm, resilience and quality of life in their daily lives. If you would like to know more or make an appointment, please feel free to contact me.

In a safe and confidential video call setting (Google Meet), you work one-on-one on your personal challenges and issues. The sessions are interactive: you discuss your thoughts, feelings, and situations, receive practical exercises and tools and learn to apply them directly in your daily life.

Each session is tailored to your pace and goals, focusing on:

Specialisations and Expertises

I work with adults and families facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, burnout, perfectionism, issues related to neurodiversity, self-image concerns, existential questions, and family difficulties.

My core belief is that everyone can learn to handle thoughts, emotions, and relationships in a healthier way. Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) forms the foundation of my approach: a flexible and effective method that can help with almost any type of difficulty—whether it involves personal stress, inner conflict, or relationship challenges.

In addition to individual ACT sessions, I offer IBCT relationship therapy for couples who wish to strengthen their relationship or navigate a separation in a constructive way.

For families, I provide family mediation (including divorce mediation) and conflict resolution, helping to address tensions and complex dynamics in a constructive manner. In this way, I work on individual, relational, and systemic levels to foster connection, resilience, and practical solutions.

Through this unique combination of therapeutic and mediation skills, I help clients not only reduce their symptoms but also make conscious choices, gain a greater sense of control, and experience more calm, resilience, and fulfillment in their lives.

Most common issues I support people with:

  • Family-related issues and dynamics

  • Neurodiversity (ADHD, Autism, Giftedness)

  • Depressive symptoms, including psychosomatic complaints and rumination

  • Anxiety (such as performance anxiety, fear of faillure, social anxiety, and generalized anxiety rather than single phobias)

  • Issues related to self-image and self-esteem
