As someone who is international I know the unique mental health challenges this brings. I strongly believe therapy can support us in navigating through the waves of life by enhancing our psychological resilience. By cultivating resilience we go beyond surviving the challenges, we transcend them. We learn to surf the waves, accept what we can’t change and change what we can't accept.
After my clinical psychology studies i searched for an integration of psychology and spirituality, as I felt that the usual methods of psychotherapy often are treating symptoms instead of the sources of their arising. Nowadays I use a combination of mindfulness/presence and body-centered awareness as my main method of therapy/healing. With this method many symptoms or 'complaints' can be healed and it offers also a different and much more loving way of being with our self and our shadowsides.
